Dogtober at Beaufort Street Artisan Market

On October 9 the market had a Dogtober theme, where you could bring you furry friend down to the market to check out some products and artwork created locally in Perth.

The Beaufort Street Artisan Markets is a small market held every other Sunday in the Barlee Street carpark off Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley.

On October 9 the market had a Dogtober theme, where you could bring you furry friend down to the market to check out some products and artwork created locally in Perth.

Among the stalls were some not for profit organisations including SAFE and Greyhound Adoptions WA. There were also some great pet product stalls including S&P Decorated Pet Cakes & Treats, The Natural Pet Food Company, and Essential Wellness.

The humans could also check out some other stalls featuring treats for humans, products and artwork while we socialised and sniffed about.

Dogtober gave local dogs the chance to strut their stuff on the red carpet during the dog show with categories including, smallest dog, biggest dog, most talented and best-dressed. Looking cute in my party dress, I was entered into the best-dressed contest.

A great free event held by the Beaufort Street Network. We sure do hope that Dogtober is an annual event. What fun!

Check out our photo gallery to see some of the dog show contestants. Did you attend Dogtober? We would love to hear what you thought.
